Superstition Mountains - Lost Dutchman State Park, AZ
Panoramic - 13 vertical pictures
As the sun sets on the Superstition Mountain range, the low angle of sunlight really brought out the red color in the Arizona desert rock. The moment I saw pictures of this place, I was captivated by its overall appearance/look and knew that this was a place I needed to visit, especially during an Arizona sunset. I was fortunate to be able to patiently wait for the sunset at this location, which in most cases and locations I feel a little more rushed to get from place to place in time. I have to admit, being in the desert took a little adjustment and really made me appreciate the shade trees we have back home.
This is my favorite place to go hiking...it helps that I live 30 minutes away. You really did a great job photographing this, and I really like the panorama of this. Did you get a chance to do any hiking deeper into the Supertitions?
Beautiful panoramic scene, Kyle. I was just having a conversation with a friend yesterday about this area of the country. As always, I love reading your synopsis of the image.
