Western Oklahoma
Self-reliance is alive and well through many parts of this country and dead in many other areas. It is/was one of the characteristics that helped build this great nation and helped sparked innovation, competition, and creativity. People seem to be forgetting the pioneer spirit to overcome hardships by hard work and self-responsibility and rely on themselves to achieve their goals and not wait on handouts or ruling bodies to provide everything from the cradle to the grave. The windmill in this picture reminds me of the pioneer spirit, that brought us the creation and innovation to harness our surroundings to increase the quality of life through hard work, self-responsibility, and self-reliance. ©Copyright Kyle Wright. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
