8/22/2010 - Western Oklahoma

We drove the roads together and time stood still. For a change, things were simple and the country air seemed like heaven. For a moment in time, it was just me & you.

As the sun was setting, two cloud towers reached for the last touches of sunlight. Soon after, both became one and developed into a single thunderstorm as the moon shined brightly. The air was warm and calm, the moon cast it's shadows, and the lightning flashed across the southern sky. And there was peace in my soul.

great shot. Nature in all its beauty. Yet when you think about it, nature can be quite violent, things may look beautiful at first, but then becomes scary, or interesting to watch. Sort of like a thunderstorm. I have always wanted to sit in a high place with a glass shell around me while I watched the lightning and listened to the thunder. but of course that will never happen. sigh -_-
